Here Are The 5 WORST Things you Can Do If You Want To Build Muscle & Get A World Class Body
1# Almost all bodybuilding supplements DON’T WORK and are a complete joke and only make a 5% difference ASSUMING your diet and training plan are in order. In just a second, I’ll give you a nutritional advantage and tell you exactly what does work.
2# Traditional bodybuilding programs would lead you to believe that “shocking” your muscles with “different angles,” “feeling the burn,” and “splitting up your body parts” is effective but they are dead wrong. Below, I’ll tell you how not to waste your time and energy and gain maximum muscle.
3# Imitating the instruction of champion bodybuilders is a costly mistake because their advice has no practical relevance for average people like you and me. They will not tell you that drugs and genetics are responsible for curing their problem of being a hardgainer. They claim it’s Supplements and “better training.” Give me a break.
4# Every bodybuilding magazine is owned and operated by a supplement company, which is why these mags look like massive supplement catalogs. If you’ve reading up on what supplements works, don’t bother because you’re getting biased opinions.

5 pounds in 6 …
5 pounds in 6 months thats absaloutley nothing,you could lose 5 pounds in 2 weeks on a normal diet,without protien shakes

He’s right. The …
He’s right. The only one I would add to that is Creatine. Creatine does help. I’ve actually taken all protein powders OUT of my diet since May 09′. Lost NO muscle and NO strength because of this…BUT I have lost about 5 pounds of fat in 6 months because of this change. (Went from 184.5 to 179.5 lbs ) and am much leaner. I did add a bit of food protein back when the protein powders came out, but my protein intake daily is not what it was…and I’m doing fine. But I think Vince is still right.

I agree with him. …
I agree with him. I take whey protein powder pre- and post-workout w. fruit or simple carbs, fish oil, a multi, and some Q-10 enzyme, and I’ve gained 4lbs of muscle in a month.

The science was …
The science was proven wrong as with many supplements before it. Its still available I’m sure, since some of this stuff sticks around for decades. Really, all you have to do is fill a flashy looking bottle (with words like “mega” or “ultra”) with something that may or may not have an actual effect, publish some “science” on it, market and hype the out of it, and people buy the stuff.

Yep. A friend of …
Yep. A friend of mine also did a comparison between N.O. and caffeine pills and found that they produce the same effect. Kudos to you for being immune to the placebo trick. Its amazing to me that such a large number of people use this stuff, most of them without knowing that they are ingesting huge amounts of caffeine. This happens often in the supplement business; a new “breakthrough” product appears, gets hyped, and millions of people buy into it. Know the science people, it will help you.

@MockeryMadeEasy I …
@MockeryMadeEasy I agree, its the caffeine N.O. powders contain thats the main culprit and the reason why they work. I have taken the N.O. pills that dont contain any caffiene and they had no effect.
November 19th, 2009 at 2:01 pm
ANY supplement …
ANY supplement touted as a nitric oxide hemodilator is practically worthless, and the ONLY ingredient that causes an increase in energy and pump is the caffeine, which you can get as a stand-alone product for much less money (IF you want to pump your body full of caffeine, which IMO is a dumb idea). To get the effect N.O. products claim, just chug a large portion of instantized whey protein and take some fruit or a sports drink (simple carbs) about 35 minutes preworkout and go to it.

Some of what Vince …
Some of what Vince says here is correct, but I would strongly disagree with his statement that pre/post-workout supplementation is not necessary. The hour following your workout is a critical time in which your body needs proper nutrient intakes if you want to grow.
About the N.O. products: these are just bad tasting drinks filled with caffeine. The science is incorrectly stated, and you are wasting your money. This has been known as fact to horse racing veterinarians for years. N.O = scam.

bareteeth;
as far …
bareteeth;
as far as you wondering if you should take AST’s protein, look at the label. If this, or anything, has protein concentrate as the first ingredient, stay away. Go for an isolate as the 1st ingredient. If you got the money, don’t have any concentrate in there.Its cheap and the companys put it in there to make more profit. Plus your body can’t use it as well as isolate. Like only 20% - 40%. Isolates usually give ya 80-90% absorbtion. I ran the top GNCs in Chicago & know supps.
November 19th, 2009 at 2:01 pm
N.O. Explode is …
N.O. Explode is crap. l ran the top 2 GNC stores in my region and wouldn’t allow anyone to buy it even if they wouldn’t buy anything else and l lost the sale. Ask anyone who’s used super pump 250 orMRI bkack powder and they’ll tell u there’s a HUGE difference in pump size.
take your no explode and try to do cardio… you’re tachycardic for 2 hours and you may pass out. (heart rate stays way high and u can’t slow it down)

Thats real killer …
Thats real killer what Jack3d did to you.. after a while I got more sensitive to the stuff instead of building up a tolerance and had to scale back to half the recommened dosage and I still get a lot of energy from it. At my age im considering scaleing back further to just a strong cup of coffee before a workout.

I don’t wanna burst …
I don’t wanna burst anyones bubble but the mind is alot more powerful than most of us know. Many want quick results without working for it and the supplement companies prey on this idea. Many people are convinced through pseudo science advertising that these uber expensive supplements are gonna give them steroid like effects. When in reality MIGHT give you a tiny edge. Think before you spend 50-100 bucks on this stuff. Hey, it’s your money.
November 19th, 2009 at 2:01 pm
I tried a can of …
I tried a can of Jack3d once because it wasnt sugar water like the rest of the N.O powders. This was after I had been off any supplements for a while. I got that massive niacin burn all over and I was bouncing off the walls all day. I ended up giving it away. I started meditating to strengthen the mind muscle connection and I get the effect without the side effects.
November 19th, 2009 at 2:01 pm
I agree, most …
I agree, most supplements are garbage, they dont build muscle in that aspect, but N.O. powders are like high energy drinks loaded with caffiene. I have been using them for several years since they been on the market and found that Jack3d by USP Labs is the most potent.
November 19th, 2009 at 2:01 pm
Most supplements …
Most supplements are total garbage. I’ve been bodybuilding for 17 years and once fell prey to all the glitzy advertising and marketing. I wish I could have every dollar I spent back while being caught in that matrix. I found that eating healthy and getting plenty of sleep trumped all of the flashy plastic bottles I was into. most of that crap is placebo effect
